Brooklyn Library

George Bernard Shaw said that “England and America are two countries separated by the same language.” and while I am probably starting to say some English words a little more flat (class) for “American-English” people to follow me better, I am learning a real new language as well. The Brooklyn Public Library is a wonderful place where they have not only reaallly a lot of books, they also host a lot of free classes ( 🙂 I said classes ).

So, “yo estoy aprendiendo español“(Saturday I also attended the Italian class, but everybody already knows a bit too much Italian already) AND I am also learning some of the basics of Latin American dances like Salsa and Tango and another dance where you bend your knees a lot to make your hips move constantly. The classes also present me with the chance to meet a lot of new people. Monday night I met Rebecca, an actress from Miami and Daphne, a retired architect and Hector, I don’t know what he did (also retired) but I know he is originally from Mexico.

Voy a aprender más español. Todo terminado por ahora. Adios! (In case the web translator did that wrong now, what I meant to say was: “I am going to learn more Spanish (on DUOLINGO). That’s all A for now. Goodbye!”
